Lord Byron

Lord Byron (1788-1824) was an English poet at the forefront of the Romantic movement. Best known for his narrative poems Don Juan and Childe Harold’s Pilgrimage as well as for some of his shorter lyric poems, Byron was considered a celebrity figure of his time, not only for his writing but for his aristocratic lifestyle and the scandals he was involved in. He fought and died in the Greek War of Independence. Source
