Trinidad Sanchez Jr (1943-2006) was born in Pontiac, Michigan. Originally a Jesuit brother working with young offenders and prison inmates, Sanchez maintained his commitment to activism after leaving the brotherhood. He is the author of the collections Why Am I So Brown? Compartiendo de la nada, Poems by Father and Son, Authentic Chicano Food is HOT, and Jalapeño Blues. Source
